Leading digital health implementation in low and middle-income countries
Stroke has been the 2nd leading cause of death and disability globally for the past 4 decades. Much of the burden is borne by Low and middle-income countries (LMIC) where there is not an organized system or pathway for stroke care. This talk will showcase a systematic and scientific attempt to improve access to stroke care using technology in India. The talk will include the systematic development, piloting, and evaluation of a smartphone-enabled, carer-supported education intervention for the management of stroke-related disabilities in India and the lessons learned.
